I've been busy lately so haven't been able to post as much as I'd like, but i have been writing pretty consistently for the past couple months. I'm drawing as much as I am writing, but since I haven't got a good way to scan in the images I am making, we'll just stick to the poetry for now! Here are a few verses I came up with a few weeks ago when ODB had the prompt "Insects and Creepy Crawlies"
across the blanket
a picnic feast awaits
the intrepid ant

bare skin attracts the
attentions of amorous
lady mosquitoes

fat
lazy
fly buzzing
against the glass pane
befuddled by the barrier

Dragonfly
terror of the sky
the dragon chomps another
pesky mosquito

melodious notes
drift from silver wind chimes
on the orange breeze

tiger lilies purr
ferocious feline flowers
napping in the sun

in distress or not
damsels are often captured
by pink snapdragons

like a movie scene
white petals fall around us;
my heart should soar but
unkind reality sets in;
